I have been drawing as far back as I can remember. Years later, I shared a graphic design and illustration studio with a partner. After leaving to start a family, I continued freelance illustration from home. When my daughter was 5, I made her a very detailed dollhouse and that was the beginning of my love of miniatures.
With a background in illustration and a passion for all things old (especially toys), I have found a medium to combine my two loves. My three-dimensional illustrations, also known as shadow boxes, allow me to express myself in a playful manner. My miniature worlds draw the viewer in — the more one looks, the more there is to discover in the details. The observer makes a personal connection based upon their own fond memories. My shadow boxes appeal to the child in all of us. Thankfully, some of us never grow up.
